RAW Boswin and the Gonnabees are a Calgary-based Original Rock Band for hire. We are seeking work in night clubs, festivals and as an opening act.

The band consists of singer/songwriter Rob Oswin (Acoustic/Vox), Danny Partridge (Bass/Vox), Chris Partridge (Drums/Vox) and Sandy Switzer (Pedal Steel).

The RAW Boswin and the Gonnabees’ live show is a breath of fresh air. Their unique but familiar sound ranges from classic rock to rockin’ country, rockin’ blues and rockin’ folk. Finely crafted original songs are presented with passion and conviction by this veteran line-up of talented professionals.

With just the right cover tunes, at just the right moment, RAW Boswin and the Gonnabees truly captivate and engage their audience.

Truth be told, there is very little that the band members will admit to about their past, thus making this bio very difficult to write.

Legend has it that they are the illegitimate off-spring half-brothers of Captain Max von Trapp, made famous in the 1965 movie, “The Sound of Music”.

By 1968, the four half-brothers all wound up at the same orphanage, located 75 miles north of London. Their stay was brief, as they would be kicked out of the orphanage for asking for more vocals in the monitor. They would then run away together, and landed up in London where they were quickly picked up by a new manager named Fagin.

Under Fagin’s management, the young Gonnabees learned how to beg, borrow and steal inspiration from other unsuspecting local songwriters, like John & Paul, Elton, Floyd and even Mr. Hodgson. The young Gonnabees began to weave their stolen inspiration into original epic theatrical rock anthems with catchy melodies and meaningful lyrics. And then practice them… uhhggggggg!

Finally, one day, the telephone rang. On the other end was Reuben Kincaid, the well-connected manager of the famous and popular “Partridge Family”. You see, Reuben had booked “The Partridge Family” a Thursday night at Mikey’s Juke Joint in Calgary, Alberta.

As fate would have it, the “Partridge Family” had already booked an “intervention” for Danny. RAW Boswin and the Gonnabees took the gig and the rest is history.
